There is never a reason to point a gun at yourself, yet we see this commonly while holstering. Ken shows how to avoid common pitfalls in handgun manipulation and holstering to ensure a safe re-holstering every time.

– stiff wrist, finger on the side of frame, so you know where the gun is pointing
– look at holster when you can to ensure it is there, clear and you know where it is
– when inserting the gun, keep it pointed away from you until it’s entered into the holster
– if looking at the holster isn’t tactically available to you then train SPECIFICALLY on a safe speed reholster, much as you would a draw
